Arabian Nights Parties Could Be Fun

Throwing an Arabian Nights Theme Party can be one of the most complex yet rewarding theme parties to put on. There is much to do and the expenses can mount up depending on how far you want to go with it. Take a look at the following Arabian party ideas, some are optional but others are compulsory.

1. Hire a Bedouin tent! This can be expensive but could potentially change the entire feel of your party. Basically, they are huge Arabian desert tents and you should use it as your party venue. Set the tent up on the beach and you have an authentic Arabian desert feel to your party.

2. Everything within the tent should be low down. No tables or chairs allowed! Throw in as many cushions, pillows and rugs as you can find to make it comfortable.

3. Consider hiring desert animals such as Goats or Donkeys to tether up outside. Be careful that the goat doesn’t eat part of the tent and leave you with a costly bill.

4. In Arabia, it’s customary to bathe your fingers in scented water prior to eating. A few drops of essential oil in a bowl of water will be great for this.

5. You need to be eating Moroccan food and it has to be served while you’re sitting down on the floor! Remember there are no tables!

6. Hire performers such as snake charmers, henna artists, fortune tellers or fire eaters for the entertainment.

7. For the costumes, i highly recommend you tell all your guests to come as kings, queens, princes, princesses and thieves! This after all is an Arabian theme party and they are relatively easy to make or rent!

8. Finally you should always send out creative invitations! Make cut outs of Aladdin, princess Jasmine, a camel or a goat and write your invites on the back.

Most of these suggestions could be produced relatively cheaply, if you have a few helpers who are good with their hands you could even create your own Bedouin tent without breaking the credit cards out.

The main thing is to remember this is all about having a fun party so don’t worry too much if you don’t get everything quite right. As long as you have food, drink and good friends you should be ok.
