Have you been stressing over your baby’s birthday party? Do you want to stay away from traditional themes and do something unique? There are so many cute baby birthday party ideas for your little one!
First thing to consider: What does your baby enjoy? Do they have a nickname? A particular stuffed animal they can’t live without? A favorite food, book, or TV show? Something meaningful and unique to them? Incorporating these things into the party will provide a good reminder throughout the years of what they enjoyed.
Baby Birthday Party Ideas:
Animal/Zoo/Barn theme:
Babies learn animals and animal noises early on. Center your baby’s party around a zoo, with different “pens” in your backyard. As someone you know who owns a farm if they’re willing to lend real animals. If not, create each animal from cardboard and have your child help color it. Include a game with each station, food to feed the animals, and a party favor.
Costume Party:
If your baby was born in the fall, consider having a costume party. This is an excellent way to make sure those Halloween costumes are used more than once! You can have a theme (superhero, animal, cowboy, Disney character, etc.)
Princess Party:
Do you have a cute baby girl who loves to play dress up? Invite all of her friends to come to her party dressed in their favorite princess dress. Allow your child to help make each of her friends a crown as a party favor. Include a special tea party segment so they can all feel like royalty!
Games to play:
Scrapbook:
Create a scrapbook that all the guests at the party can sign for your baby to read when he/she is older. Also consider writing a private letter to your baby on their special day.
Catch the Balloon:
Have several balloons filled with helium and allow your children to run wild and try to catch the balloon. Remember to do this inside or under a cover so the balloons don’t fly away!
Baby Can:
This game is more for the adults, but who says they can’t have fun, too? Write a list of all the things your baby can and can’t do. Have your guests guess which is which.
Baby Relay:
Put your baby on your shoulders and have one parent run to a certain point, switch to the second parent and run back. Kids will love it, but just make sure to do this before they eat!
