A masquerade party is a great opportunity to become something you feel you are not. There are really no rules to follow and no basic guides to follow other than basic common sense and decency. The opportunities are unlimited to experience a side of life that is often shut off from your normal routine. You can hide behind your masquerade mask and be anyone you want to be.
When you are at the party it is essential to act the part that fits your costume. Be creative and go with the flow of what you selected to wear. For example if you are a princess then don’t drink beer from a can! If you are dressed like a pirate choose to be a little course with your words, movements and actions. It all starts to become a fun filled experience when people become their characters. Of course you have to be a little restrained if you dress like a axe murderer but you can get the picture right? The point is to experience the party as your character.
It is also fun to make sure to take the time to understand the other people at the party. Perhaps you are not used to seeing your shy accountant best friend dressed as an exotic dancer but you need to try to see a deeper side to the person. Take down judgment barriers and open yourself up to see people as you have never allowed yourself to see them before. Allow people to be free and in the moment to experience their alter ego. Encourage fun play and creative activity from others and the masquerade party will become an event to remember. Remember, the event is supposed to be fun for all.
Enjoy food, beverage and move around at the party. Remember, you have an excuse to act in a different manner, move in a different way and talk more or less as desired. After all, the party is to experience life in a different way so do not fall into your own rules of behavior. Let yourself experience freedom and see what it feels like. You might find that you will have the time of your life by allowing yourself to open up.
